On October 25, 2017 Babeș-Bolyai University has started the procedure for the implementation of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), in order to obtain the HR Excellence in Research award, by fully endorsing the 40 principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

On December 13, 2018, Babeș-Bolyai University was honored with the “HR Excellence in Research” award, recognizing its commitment to the continuous improvement of human resources policies in alignment with the principles outlined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

In December 2023, the European Council adopted a new streamlined version of the European Charter for Researchers, set to replace the previous Charter and Code. Babeș-Bolyai University remains steadfast in its endorsement of these principles and will continue to actively implement them through sustained engagement with the HRS4R process.
