Despite increased use and anticipated benefits at both individual and organizational level, the technology based monitoring systems and the generated data can be at the same time a goldmine or a minefield, especially if not used responsibly. This stresses the need to reveal the complex implications that technology based monitoring systems have on individuals, aiming to maximize the positives of adopting new monitoring technologies and minimize the negative side effects. During this event we will present and discuss the main side effects of using workplace surveillance monitoring systems.
